Are you a support coordinator working with participants eligible for SDA?

Have you found lots of the information to be too technical, scattered in different places or delivered in a way that makes it hard to apply and decipher?

Navigating the components of Specialist Disability Accommodation is often challenging, especially when it comes to producing reports for participants wanting to access the initiative.

As SDA Assessors and clinical OT’s working with people who have complex disabilities, we found ourselves needing to connect two very separate (but important) parts of SDA together: the SDA Design Standard and the Eligibility Legislation to ensure successful outcomes for participants

In our experience, it is the practical understanding of the design standards combined with the detailed analysis of the participants needs that ensure the best possible outcome for participants, and also for all stakeholders. We have spent years supporting participants through functional capacity assessments, occupational therapy support and SDA building assessments.

Now we want to share all of our knowledge with you ...

This course is a high level overview of SDA, providing you with the most important aspects of SDA and providing examples, images and videos so that you can use that information to better support participants.

It is a must-have for any support coordinators who are new or just starting to work with participants eligible for SDA and need a comprehensive overview that is easy to learn and digest.
